I am currently a science teacher at Miami High School in Miami, OK and I absolutely LOVE it.
I graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Agriculture Education. My first year I taught agriculture education in the Panhandle of Oklahoma. Before my second year of teaching, I moved to Miami to be closer to family and began teaching Biology. While I love agriculture, I absolutely fell in love with Biology and am excited to continue my career in the science world. This year I will also be teaching Forensic Science, which I am excited to explore!
My love for teaching stems from my commitment to make sure each student understands his or her worth. I strive to help students value themselves and their education. I want them to know that they can be successful no matter what path they take.
I am looking forward to helping educators learn why teaching is important to them. I hope to help them explore different ways they can impact each student both in and outside of the classroom.
